At Pacific Office Automation, our multifunction printers allow businesses of every type and size to produce bright and bold marketing materials in-house.

Artists have long used the evocative properties of color to convey meaning. Marketing professionals, too, harness the psychological effects of colors to influence consumer attitudes. Look no further than the color green, which has become so synonymous with environmentalism that most corporations refer to their sustainability efforts as “green initiatives.” How can other colors be used to convey a message? We provide some examples below:

In the United States, the combination of red, white, and blue is unmistakably patriotic, reminiscent of the American flag.

Pink is a feminine color, which is why it’s such a striking juxtaposition to see all of those burly NFL players sporting hot pink cleats and gloves in October to promote breast cancer awareness. Thanks to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, pink has become synonymous with the cause.

White is associated with purity, holiness, peace, and cleanliness. The folks at Apple were wise to choose white for their stores and marketing efforts to sell their sleek, user-friendly products.

Blue is related to masculinity and a corporate or conservative atmosphere. Walmart, the world's largest corporation, has a blue logo. In today's social media-saturated culture, the royal blue used by Facebook and LinkedIn is unmistakable.

Marketers utilize yellow to evoke friendliness, warmth, and freshness.

Black is associated with sophistication and sleekness, while purple relates to power and luxury.

It is no surprise that three of America's most ubiquitous companies, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, and Target use red in their logos. Red is the color of power and passion. Red is also strongly tied to the holidays; Starbucks serves its coffee in red cups as soon as Halloween is over.

Speaking of Starbucks, their mermaid logo is green, which relates to health and wealth. Go figure.

Orange is energetic and warm, but also is associated with caution. Orange is unmistakably the color of autumn and the Holiday Season.

Whatever message you are trying to send with color, you need a high-quality printer that produces vibrant, sharp colors. Contact Pacific Office Automation today to find the best multifunction laser printer for beautifully finished, professional marketing materials that will wow your customers.
