Our Commitment to Sustainability
Pacific Office Automation takes part in recycling unwanted machines, toners, and cardboard. The Environmentally Conscious Recycling Company completely disassembles the machines, sorts by steel, copper wire, glass, plastic, and toner. Together, POA And ECR are recycling machines, toner and cardboard at a rate of 99% or more. POA’s continuous efforts in recycling these products will have a significant impact on landfills and preservation of our natural resources.
Pacific Office Automation will be providing return labels for ship-back of toner cartridges. Environmentally safe packaging is included with all supply deliveries and will be returned to the manufacturer for recycling.
It is standard operating procedure for all drivers and technicians providing service to remove all waste products, used parts, and anything else that is not necessary for the machine to operate following a standard service call.
All equipment meets or exceeds all ENERGY STAR compliance standards. All set-up technicians are instructed to turn on all energy saving features during the set-up of equipment.

Improving Energy Efficiency with the Print Relief Program
POA's Print Relief Program uses a global reforestation program to ensure a neutral or net-positive impact on paper consumption. We strive to ensure at minimum a neutral or net-positive impact of paper consumption.
Using state of the art software, we track a customer’s paper consumption to make it actionable. Customers can choose where to reforest their paper through the PrintReleaf Certified™ Global Reforestation Projects. By offsetting the carbon emissions linked with printing and packaging, you are taking the right step in fighting climate change.
Efforts include:
- Environmental Reforestation provides environmental and ecological cultivation where the planet needs it most.
- Certification verified by our third-party certifying body, SGS, International
- Recognition through awareness, social, and certifications, you can see & share the positive impact you have on forests around the world.
- General paper reporting is used to determine the number of trees that are planted into geographic areas of need, helping to build a more sustainable world.
Encouraging Sustainable Transportation
POA Is excited to be installing EV charging stations for the Portland Trail Blazer fans and staff using Terra Energy products. This helps to reduce transportation-related emissions and encourages the use of more sustainable modes of transportation.
