Over the past 44 years, we here at Pacific Office Automation (POA) have grown into the largest authorized dealer of high-quality printer manufacturers. Our dedicated team of individuals commits to offering custom office solutions, state-of-the-art technology, and award-winning customer service to customers and the community.

In 2019, we reached $365 million in revenue, so what’s next? President Doug Pitassi made it clear at the Pacific Office Automation Sales Kickoff, POA is aiming for $400 million in annual revenue in 2020.

Sales Kickoff Event

A rooftop bar reception with vendors and the sales team was the perfect start POA’s 2020 Sales Kickoff. Included during the ceremony was a wonderful tribute to POA’s CFO Gerald “Gerry” Romjue, who passed away in November. With the Romjue family at the event, it was a touching, heartbreaking, and meaningful moment for the entire POA team. The Sales Kickoff continued with entertainment from ballet troupes to professional acrobats, Doug Pitassi entering via parachute, elaborate costumes, and even a performance by POA’s choir.

For his 2020 challenge, Pitassi encouraged attendees to take a leap, get out of their comfort zones, and change the status quo. With an engaging, possibly surprising, mix of generations in the room everyone seemed ready to surpass his expectations.

Looking Ahead

So, what is next for Pacific Office Automation? While it would be amazing to reach $400 million in annual sales with an incredible 250 sales reps hitting the streets, Pitassi is keeping his focus on his team. While speaking with members from The Cannata Report, Pitassi said, “Developing people’s knowledge, skills, and attitude is our way to scale and our way to grow.”

The continued focus on employees is one of the main reasons POA has had continued success. Award-winning customer service can only come from a dedicated team that enjoys and cares about their company. Pacific Office Automation’s theme of 2020 is “Take the Leap.” It reminds us to embrace transformation within departments, encourage personal & professional growth, and, as mentioned at the Sales Kickoff, get out of our comfort zone. With all those factors in place, POA is set up to take the leap to $400 million.
