October 22nd was National Make a Difference Day. At POA, we’re committed to giving back to our local communities through fundraisers, volunteer work, sponsorships, and local business outreach. With more than 750 employees in offices throughout the West, we believe that supporting the communities in which we operate makes them better places to live, work, and play. In honor of Make a Difference Day, we’re highlighting some of our recent philanthropic efforts.

In September, Pacific Office Automation sponsored the Infinite Potential Golf Tournament in Portland. The tournament raised more than $72,000 for 25 local charities, including Morrison Child & Family Services, Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare Inc., and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland.

Pacific Office Automation is also a proud sponsor of this year’s Encompass Autumn Gala. The auction raises money for Encompass, a nonprofit in Washington that provides a network of support and education for parents to build healthy foundations for children, particularly those with delays and disabilities.

We believe that sports have the power to bring a community together. That said, athletics is a hallmark of our corporate philanthropy efforts. We regularly host golf tournaments to raise money for local charities, and we proudly support local sports teams including:

  • Portland Trail Blazers
  • Portland Winterhawks
  • Portland Timbers
  • Oregon State University
  • San Jose Sharks
  • University of California
  • Colorado Avalanche
  • Colorado Mammoth
  • Colorado Rapids
  • Denver Nuggets
  • Arizona Coyotes
  • Phoenix Suns

At POA, we believe a positive work culture makes us more productive and innovative, and giving back to the community is one of the pillars of our corporate culture.

“What’s great about POA is that even as it grows in scope, the local roots seem to deepen,” said Doug Pitassi, Pacific Office Automation president. “We take advantage of the additional resources that come with growth, but haven’t lost that connection to the people around us.”

We believe in making a difference for our customers, our co-workers, our communities, and our environment. Contact us today to learn how you can get involved.
