We’re back for a second installment of POA favorites, this time heading south to the Bay Area in California. In addition to our San Jose branch, we recently doubled the size of our Pleasanton office to make room for increasing numbers of employees and IT infrastructure.

Beyond our California hubs, the entire Bay Area offers diverse activities for both visitors and residents to enjoy. Here are a few of our picks:

Brush Up on Bay Area History

From the Gold Rush to the rise of industrialization, the Bay Area is rich in centuries of history. In Pleasanton, hop aboard the Niles Canyon Railway, which acts as a living history museum to keep an important piece of California’s heritage alive.

San Jose also plays a major role in California’s history. One of the major gold mining towns, it also has roots in Japanese and Mexican culture, making it a melting pot for those who call it home.

Today, the Bay Area is a center of business and technology, which is why we chose to locate our branches right in the hearts of San Jose & Pleasanton.

Taste California Wine

You can’t visit the Bay Area without stopping at a few wineries, right? If you’d rather not fight crowds in the famed Napa and Sonoma Valleys north of San Francisco, not to worry. Luckily, the land on the outskirts of San Jose is ideal for grape-growing, so you’re sure to find more than a few wineries to visit.

Many of our employees favor the nearby Santa Clara Valley for abundant vineyards and a relaxed atmosphere.

Watch or Play Your Favorite Sports

Did you know that we’re a proud sponsor of the San Jose Sharks and several local college football teams including the Cal Golden Bears? Our teams love getting out together to cheer on their favorite teams.

If you’d rather go play a sport, San Jose is known for its championship golf courses. After a day on the fairway, stop by the Brandenburg Historical Golf Museum to view golf trophies and explore careers of some of the greats.

Below, a few of our employees enjoy some team bonding on one of the Bay Area’s many golf courses.

At Pacific Office Automation, each of our employees has the opportunity to network and bond with their colleagues through the rich variety of activities the region offers. If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, start a career with us. Apply online to the position that best meets your skill set and we’ll be in touch.
