As businesspeople, we prefer mostly to deal with measurable entities: revenue, gross profits, earnings per share and the like. But there are certain intangibles in business that are equally important—like giving back to the communities in which we live.

At POA, we love spending time with the people who live in the communities we serve in Oregon, Washington, California, Denver, and more. While we know we can be there for our customers during a printer crisis or IT hiccup, it’s equally important to us to get to know as many individuals as we can.

Since our business began, community involvement has always been one of the key pillars of our corporate philosophy. We know investing in our Portland, Oregon and Seattle communities makes them better places for us to work and live.

Here is a glimpse at some of our recent efforts in Portland, Oregon and Seattle:

We donated Seattle Mariners tickets to Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity. The home-building nonprofit was able to sell the tickets and put the proceeds toward making sure Washingtonians have a safe place live.
We are proud sponsors of the Portland Timbers, so we donated our corporate suite tickets for a Timbers game to the Damascus Christian School Auction as they celebrated their 40th anniversary.
Our hearts were touched by a local Oregon girl needing kidney surgery. She was able to have surgery, and the fundraised money went to offset four days of her parents’ lost work, plus post-operative medication.
POA was the title sponsor for the Hillsboro Firefighters Random Acts organization’s annual charity golf tournament. Proceeds went to HFRA’s efforts to make a positive different in the community. This group of firefighters goes beyond their heroic firefighting and paramedic efforts to keep their community safe. They work to give back to their community, including hosting an annual holiday toy drive for needy families.

This is just a small sample of the various ways Pacific Office Automation gives back to the communities in which we operate. If you are interested in corporate printing in Portland or want more information about partnering with POA for your philanthropic efforts, contact us today.
