Decentralized Dispatch
One key element that POA knows is important to its customers is to be available to offer assistance at all times. For example, if an equipment operator needs service, supplies, or support, you will be able to contact a live person.
Service calls are placed with the dispatch office, located in Beaverton. Each copier device will have a label attached that indicates the phone number for contacting the service dispatch center. The equipment operator would contact the service center via a local number and would speak directly with a customer support representative. Each service dispatcher is trained to help with phone support when possible. If a unit needs a technician on site, dispatch will place a service call for response. Each service technician carries a Nextel cell phone and is dispatched by this method. Additionally, this allows for immediate communication for consultation with another service technician, their supervisor or manufacturer technical representatives. If requested, a service technician will contact the equipment operator and provide an approximate response time when he/she will arrive. The service technician initiates this contact within one hour or less.
